MOTHER AND DAUGHTER
Overheard in the car this morning, on our way to Amanda's dancing school. These are the moments I live for.
Me: "Amanda, I love you more than anything in the world, you know that, right?"
Amanda: "Well, yeah...but not when I'm fresh."
Me: "You're wrong - I love you all the time, even when you're fresh. No matter what, I always love you."
Amanda paused for a second to mull that over.
"Wow, Mommy. Next time I draw a picture of you, I am going to draw a GIANT heart on your belly for all that love!"
Does it get any better than that, I ask?
