LOSS FOR WORDS
As my child gets older, I find more and more circumstances where I have absolutely no response to some of the things that come out of her mouth. I can't tell sometimes if she is brilliant, or if I need to sit down and have a talk with her. This parenting gig just gets trickier and trickier as time goes on.
This gem is from last night:
Amanda: "Mom, I know something that's a color!"
Me: "Really, Amanda, what's that?"
Amanda: "An ORANGE!"
Me: "Wow, you're right. Very good, Amanda."
***five second pause***
Amanda: "Mommy, I know something ELSE that's a color!"
Me: "What?"
Amanda: "James Brown."
