HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
Amanda got this precious look on her face, that look that shows that she has just had a four-year-old's revelation.
"Mommy, Mother's Day is YOUR holiday, right?"
"Yes Amanda, it is."
She considered this for a minute. "Well then, me and my Daddy should take you out to lunch, ANYWHERE you want to go. It is YOUR holiday, so YOU pick!"
I smiled and said to her, "That is so nice!"
"So Mommy where do you want to go?"
"Chili's."
She said, "How about Friendly's?"
I laughed and said "I thought it was MY pick? I want to go to Chili's."
Amanda frowned at me and very sternly replied "We're going to FRIENDLY'S!"
